POSTERS AGAINST RIGHT:
Posters submitted for an initiative collecting protest posters against the far right. One of my submissions was admitted to the shortlist and made publicly available for everyone to download. The aim of this open call was to make protest posters against right-wing policies accessible to most of us, resulting in the collection of many posters. I designed three posters addressing this theme from different visual and conceptual angles.PROCESS AND MY PART:
For the open call “Posters Against the Right,” I designed three posters addressing the rise of right-wing politics in Germany. The first plays with the saying “links zwo drei vier,” adding and crossing out the word “right” to symbolize exclusion and resistance. The repetition of the phrase forms a typographic wall against right-wing ideologies. The second poster uses color associations, showing a gradient from blue to brown, reflecting the AfD’s drift toward extremist views, using the brown color as a symbol for the German National Socialist Party, whilst the third poster displays real AfD quotes, overlaid with a call to stay awake and vigilant.July 2024
